The Scriptures
The Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, sufficient for all matters of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16–17). We affirm sola scriptura while valuing the faithful interpretation of Scripture through the historic witness of the Church Fathers.
The Triune God
There is one God eternally existing in three co-equal Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—distinct in their relations, yet one in essence, power, and glory.
Jesus Christ
The eternal Son of God became incarnate, fully God and fully man, without sin. He lived a perfect life, died a substitutionary atoning death for sinners, rose bodily on the third day, ascended into heaven, and now reigns as King and High Priest. We affirm the Chalcedonian Definition of Christ’s two natures.
Salvation
Salvation is entirely by God’s sovereign grace. We rejoice in the doctrines of grace: the total depravity of humanity, God’s unconditional election, the definite atonement of Christ for His people, the irresistible call of the Holy Spirit, and the perseverance of the saints. We believe justification is by faith alone in Christ alone.
The Church
The Church is the gathered people of God, the Body of Christ. We value both the local congregation and the historic continuity of the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. We practice believer’s baptism by immersion as the biblical pattern and a public testimony of new life in Christ.
Worship and the Means of Grace
We are committed to the biblical regulation of worship and the ordinary means of grace: the preaching of the Word, prayer, the Lord’s Supper, and baptism. We also draw from the rich liturgical heritage of the historic Church, seeking worship that is both reverent and Spirit-filled.
Sanctification and Theosis
The Christian life is a journey of growing conformity to the image of Christ. We embrace the Reformed emphasis on progressive sanctification and the Orthodox vision of theosis—deep participation in the divine life through union with Christ by the Holy Spirit.
Last Things: We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, and the eternal blessedness of the redeemed in the new creation.
